I think any woman or girl over the age of 16 will get something from this book, but as I read it, I kept thinking of my friend and neighbor, Jamie.
Both moms have seen their competitive, Jesus-loving daughters face some tough challenges these past couple of years, particularly in the area of friends. If this is you as a mom, or you are on either side of this season, get this book now. Melanie Shankle has been blessed with an exceptional gift for writing. I believe that God works through all things. God wants us in a place of trusting him to provide and to protect.
We need to remember these truths: God is good, God is ever present, God is sovereign, and God is full of grace and mercy and love for us.
Shankle has the ability to teach you great Bible truths without being preachy. She will also touch your heart in the deepest most vulnerable places and make you stop and reevaluate your relationship with God, your spouse, children, friends, church family and community.
